He commands us to love God first, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. It's possible for you to forgive someone without them even knowing it. If you're the one that's committed the offense and you've sincerely apologized - the rest is between your friend and God. If they love God too, they'll accept your apology, because they too will want to be pleasing to God. Accepting an apology doesn't necessarily take you back to the relationship you had before. It may need to change, and it may change for the better -it should, but regardless what changes occur in the relationship, it can still be a loving relationship. Sometimes trust needs to be rebuilt. Most (carnal) relationships involve a giver and a taker. God wants both parties to be givers and accepting. All relationships evolve over time..... forgiveness is a key to keep them growing!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768323097181006164.post-44283768879081264762011-10-25T06:29:22.186-07:002011-10-25T06:29:22.186-07:00but what happens if they don't take the apolig...but what happens if they don't take the apoligy??Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768323097181006164.post-81310553667288079552011-07-01T19:51:15.973-07:002011-07-01T19:51:15.973-07:00Great question, Deb. But as I thought on it, when someone offends us, we don't necessarily have to apologize, but we need to forgive them and let go of the offense, otherwise it imprisons US. Now if God prompts you to go and apologize, that's between you and God....you obey Him, or you disobey Him....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4768323097181006164.post-83247783382436276522011-06-29T22:53:46.284-07:002011-06-29T22:53:46.284-07:00okay but if someone offends me...Why should I be t...okay but if someone offends me...Why should I be the one to apologize if they have done the offending...Deborahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11661619422230735645noreply@blogger.com
